This is on my shopping list this month, yippee!, Norbert Wolf's Albrecht Durer (Prestel USA, 2010). Other books on Durer by Wolf were published by TASCHEN, but this slipcased hardcover is the one to absolutely get. Gotta love Durer, who arguably had the most talented drawing hand in history, of which he himself was arrantly aware.
You may want to compare and contrast with Erwin Panofsky's classic The Life and Art of Albrecht Durer (Princeton University Press, 1943), last reprinted in 2005.
